Barron Wine Room and Cellar

The member-driven Barron Wine Room and Cellar project sprang from the desire to create an exceptional wine storage and tasting room at the Club through renovation of under-utilized spaces within the historic Clubhouse. The Barron Room honors the legacy of Will Barron, a beloved staff member of the Club who served as the Wine Steward and Maitre d’ for 51 years. His name was synonymous with the region’s finest food and beverage service.

Wine lockers are still available for purchase in the Barron Wine Room and Cellar.

Social Dancers of the Spokane Club

This motto of this dynamic member group is Life is a Dance, Join the Fun! True to their motto, the Social Dancers gather regularly for dance lessons, practice, fellowship and fun. Lasting friendships are just one of the many benefits of dance.

Classes, which are complimentary to Club members and $15 per person for non-members, are offered on both Beginner Level and Level 2. The classes are taught by the professional dance team of Glen and Patty Braunstein. Check Signals magazine for the dances taught and class locations. The variety of dances taught includes Swing, Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Hustle, Salsa, Cha Cha, Country two-Step and more.

Social Dance Practice is held every Tuesday night from 6:45 – 8:15 pm and every Saturday from 11:15 – 1:15 in Studio 4 of the athletic building. Spokane Club members only!
